The truth is, they are made in the Dominican Republic using premium tobacco that has been aged for at least 12 months to bring out its natural sweetness. Then, the leaves are infused with a deliciously sweet flavoring.

In 1981, Backwoods cigars were introduced nationwide and quickly became a fan favorite. With their unique structure and rugged appearance – known as “WILD & MILD” – featuring an untamed end, tapered body, and unfinished head, they captured the hearts of cigar smokers everywhere.

Unlike many modern cigars that are meticulously rolled into uniform shapes, resulting in uneven compression of tobacco throughout the cigar, Backwoods cigars are loosely rolled with even pressure. This creates a rustic-looking cigar that draws smoothly and evenly, delivering an abundance of flavor.
