The Story Behind Backwoods Cigars

Were they rolled by a Cowboy in the wild west or made in the Dominican Republic? The truth is, these cigars are crafted in the Dominican Republic using premium tobacco that has been aged for at least 12 months to bring out its natural sweetness. The leaves are then infused with a delectable flavor.

Backwoods cigars were first introduced nationally in 1981 and quickly became a fan favorite. Their distinctive appearance – “WILD & MILD” as it was called – with an untamed end, tapered body, and rough head, captured the hearts of cigar smokers.

In contrast to modern cigars that are precisely rolled for a specific shape, Backwoods cigars are loosely rolled with even pressure. This results in a rustic-looking cigar that draws effortlessly and evenly, delivering plenty of flavor with every puff.
