The truth is that these cigars are made in the Dominican Republic, using carefully aged tobacco that brings out its natural sweetness. The leaves are then enhanced with a touch of flavoring to create the unique taste of Backwoods cigars.

Introduced nationally in 1981, these cigars became an instant hit. Their distinct look and structure – known as “WILD & MILD” – with a frayed end, tapered body, and unfinished head, captured the hearts of cigar enthusiasts.

In contrast to modern cigars that are precisely rolled to a specific shape, often resulting in uneven compression of tobacco, Backwoods cigars are rolled loosely with even pressure. This results in a rustic appearance but ensures an easy and consistent draw packed with rich flavors.
